Do you have something to say that would help coaches build their business?
Then writing a feature article for The Growing Practice could be for you!
What's in it for you?
- Your article will be published on our website, providing exposure to our site visitors.
- Your article will be featured in our weekly newsletter at least once
- Your article will include an author bio with a link to the location of your choice, so you will have a backlink
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for quality content on any of these topics.
- Marketing & sales
- Delivering coaching services
- Managing a small business
- Mindset for a business owner
Your articles can be any content that would be of interest to coaches, such as:
- How-to
- Inspirational
- Current issues in the coaching industry
- Trends
- Technology that can support a coaching business
Regardless of the topic and the type of content, all articles need to meet the following guidelines:
- High quality. Your name will be attached to the article, so make sure it’s something that you want your name attached to.
- Original. The writing you submit must be yours. An updated version of something you’ve written previously is fine, but we won’t accept duplicate content, plagiarized content, or anything dumped out of an AI platform.
- Editorial in nature. The focus of our feature articles is to educate, inform, and entertain. No selling or promotion of any kind will be permitted. You will be allowed one link in your author bio, which can go to an offer of yours, your website, or your social media profile.
- Self-contained. Your article should not require linking to outside resources to provide context or additional explanation.
- Conversational. Articles written in a conversational style are easier to read and more approachable. We are likely to reject content written in stiff, formal English.
- Serve a wide audience. Your content should be of interest to a broad cross-section of people who are running a coaching business.
Technical Guidelines
If accepted, we will edit your submissions for length, clarity, and style before publication. Please follow the following guidelines when submitting your article.
- The overall length should be between 800 and 2,000 words.
- Have a reading ease score of grade 8 or below.
- Written in English.
- Submitted in a Word document or a Google doc.
- Any images, illustrations, or charts that accompany the article should be provided separately as .jpg files.
- Your author bio should be 100 words or less and include one link to a location of your choice.
We strongly encourage you to contact us with a short proposal for you article that provides a brief synopsis of the content and the benefit to the reader before creating the final article.
Email your proposal or completed article to support@thegrowingpractice.com.
